Until recently, all analysts and network sources reported that Apple could introduce its first AR / VR headset as early as 2022. However, according to the authors of Bloomberg, the release of the novelty may be postponed to 2023. It’s all about the technical problems faced by Apple.
Sources say that Apple’s AR/VR headset currently has a number of shortcomings. The main one is overheating. It is assumed that the problem arose due to the desire of the company to equip the device with a powerful stuffing. In the past, renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that the headset will be comparable in performance to a Mac powered by Apple Silicon chips.
Also, Apple’s AR/VR device has problems with cameras and software. All these shortcomings may prevent the company from releasing a new product this year.
At the same time, there is still a chance that the device will still be presented at WWDC 2022. It is possible that Apple will simply announce a new product or a number of tools and give developers time to create applications, while she herself will refine the gadget. The main thing is that the AR / VR headset does not repeat the fate of AirPower. The latter also suffered from overheating problems that Apple engineers were never able to solve.
