Apple extends iPhone 12 repair program due to audio issues

Some time ago, Apple acknowledged the audio issue with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. Representatives of the company note that malfunctions are found in a very small number of smartphones. However, despite this, the manufacturer has launched a program in which users can count on free repair of a problem device.

A few months after the launch, Apple decided to extend the program to two years from the date of sale of the gadget. According to the terms, only iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are eligible for warranty service. The program does not apply to other smartphones of the line. Apple representatives note that problematic devices were produced between October 2020 and April 2021.

In order to count on a free repair, users need to contact an authorized service center and wait for the specialists to check the device. If experts confirm the presence of a defect in the receiver module, due to which there are sound problems, then the malfunction will be fixed free of charge.
