Despite supply issues during the prolonged pandemic, Apple was able to take first place in smartphone sales in the fourth quarter of 2021. In total, Apple sold 22% of the iPhone from all smartphone sales in the world. At the time, Samsung came in second with 20% and Xiaomi came in third with 12%.
Analysts claim that the release of the iPhone 13 affected the performance in this way. Even though the official start of sales was delayed in some countries, the delivery times were quite adequate (within 2-3 weeks).
However, looking at sales figures a year ago, Apple had 23%. This is 1% more than in 2021.
