Apple is gearing up for the official release of iOS 15.2. The beta version of RC has already been released, followed by a new firmware for everyone.
As before, we do not recommend installing the beta on your mainstream devices. Usually versions “not for everyone” get a lot of bugs that the company did not have time to finish.
In the final build of iOS 15.2, a new Apple Music plan was announced. The voice plan will be available through the Siri assistant. For $ 5, the subscriber gets access to the entire media library of the service, but it can only be used through voice search. A good solution for those who do not want to pay the full price for a subscription, but want to conveniently enjoy music on their HomePod.
However, keep in mind that you won’t be able to use Apple Music’s core features: manually search for songs, listen to music in surround sound, and follow your favorite artists.
The Latitude app in the final build can track the location of a disabled iPhone for about five hours. In the Stocks app, you can view the currency and see the possible results for the year before the current date in the form of charts.
Also in iOS 15.2 RC, they added a “Maintenance” tab, it will be located in Settings and there you can view the history of iPhone replacement parts and service. A good idea, given that Apple recently announced the launch of a self-repair program.
RC versions for macOS 12.1 and watchOS 8.3 were released, as well as a HomePod update with Russian language support for Siri.
