Apple to Release MacBook Pro 14 (2022) with M2 Chip in Fall

Now Apple offers the MacBook Pro 13 and MacBook Pro 14 for purchase. The differences between the models are significant, because the newer version has an SD card slot, HDMI, a new screen with ProMotion support and runs on the M1 Pro chip. Whereas the MacBook Pro 13 is cheaper and still offers the old design look and the M1 chip.

An insider reports that this fall, Apple will replace the MacBook Pro 13 with a new MacBook Pro 14 model. The new model will receive a next-generation M2 chip and a slight increase in price (compared to the MacBook Pro 13). It’s unclear if the new MacBook Pro 14 will get an updated design with ports and an SD slot. Perhaps Apple will decide to keep one model in the old design with a larger display, and already the 16-inch models will be offered in an updated one.

It is also reported that this spring we will still see the updated MacBook Air 2022. Most likely, it will be released this spring (presumably April 5), but Apple may postpone the announcement of new items until the fall.
