OPPO Introduced A Smartwatch Watch 2 With e-SIM
The international version of the accessory should come with Google’s Wear OS.
Chinese giant OPPO has officially unveiled its new Watch 2. It has a water-resistant metal case (5 ATM) and a rectangular screen. The accessory will be available in two sizes:
42 mm case, 1.75 ″ screens, and 430 × 372 pixels resolution;
case 46 mm, screen 1.91 ″ and resolution 476 × 402 pixels.
There are two mechanical buttons on the side of the watch, but the display itself, of course, is touch-sensitive. It is based on an AMOLED matrix with support for the Always-on Display mode.
Inside is a Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip. In China, the watch runs on ColorOS based on Android (8.1) and RTOS. However, the international version of the gadget should come with Wear OS from Google, as was the case with the first version. If the NFC chip is retained, then it will be possible to count on support for contactless payment.
The processor is complemented by a dedicated Ambiq Apollo 4s chip, which ensures efficient control over power consumption. Also, to increase the battery life in hours, the Ultra Dynamic Dual Engine (UDDE) technology is used. All this together allows the Watch 2 to work without recharge for about 96 hours or 4 days. When saving battery, the autonomy increases to 16 days
OPPO Watch 2 received support for VOOC 2.0 fast-charging technology: 10 minutes is enough to recharge the watch for a full day of active use.
The novelty is able to track more than 100 types of physical exercises, constantly monitor the pulse, determine the level of blood oxygen saturation, monitor sleep, and display all notifications from the smartphone. The version of the accessory with eSIM support can work independently of other devices, allowing you to make calls directly from your wrist.
In China, OPPO Watch 2 in the Bluetooth version will cost from 1299 yuan (196 Dollars), and with eSIM – from 1,499 yuan (230 dollars). Sales start on August 6th.
