Microsoft Surface Duo 2 got powerful hardware, two 90Hz screens, and a decent camera
Microsoft has unveiled the second-generation Surface Duo, where the company is on track with the foldable form factor of the device. The successor to last year’s Surface Duo offered a number of major upgrades, is faster, has an improved camera, and supports contactless payments. Pricing starts at $ 1,499.99 and starts on October 20th.
Unlike its predecessor, Surface Duo 2 runs Android 11, supports 5G, and comes with an NFC module. It boasts a Snapdragon 888 chip, 8GB of RAM, a 12MP front-facing camera, and a 4,500mAh battery.
The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 offers two 5.8-inch OLED displays with a resolution of 1892 x 1344 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The screens are covered with Gorilla Glass Victus and there is support for the stylus. Permanent memory was offered 128/256/512 GB and a triple camera 12 Mp + 16 Mp (super-wide) + 12 Mp (telephoto) was installed on the back. There are night and portrait modes, HDR support, the camera is capable of recording 4K videos at 60 frames per second, and slow-motion video.
Powered by Surface Duo 2 operating system Android 11. The smartphone is adapted for 150 different games, including such as Asphalt Legends 9, Dungeon Hunter 5, and Modern Combat 5, where one screen is reserved for the demonstration of the game, and the other – for the controls. If desired, you can display a video conference picture on one of the screens, and work with some applications on the second.
