iOS 14.7.1 fixes Apple Watch unlock bug

Just a week after the release of the final version of iOS 14.7, Apple released a small update called iOS 14.7.1. It does not bring any new features with it, but only fixes various bugs.

What’s new in iOS 14.7.1:

  • Fixed a security vulnerability.
  • Fixes a bug that prevented Apple Watch from unlocking with an iPhone with Touch ID.

Recall that last week, immediately after the release of the final version of iOS 14.7, complaints from Apple Watch owners began to appear on the network. Users have noted that they cannot unlock their watch using an iPhone with Touch ID. Apple acknowledged the problem and quickly fixed it.

In addition to fixing the bug with unlocking the apple watch in iOS 14.7.1, work was carried out to improve the security of the operating system. The description of the update states that it fixes a serious vulnerability. The latter could be used by attackers to execute arbitrary code. Apple strongly encourages users to install the update.
