iOS 15.1 beta update: what’s new?

On September 20, the release of iOS 15 for everyone started. Users got access to some of the features that were presented to us at WWDC 2021. Apple promised to release another half in subsequent releases.

The first beta of iOS 15.1 was released on September 21 at 20:00 Kyiv time. It includes several privacy fixes as well as some new features not available in the official release.

What’s new in iOS 15.1:

  • Disabling Head Tracking for AirPods Pro | max;
  • SharePlay, which was first included in iOS 15 for developers, but after Apple announced the problems, is gone. Now it’s back so you can share videos with other users again;

  • Support for vaccination cards in Wallet. Does not work in all regions;
  • Updated “Call Notifications” icon;

  • Lossless Audio for HomePod.

Some tricks: for example, AirPods Pro tracking | Max in the Locator – did not appear. Therefore, we are still waiting for them in subsequent releases.
