Rumor has it that the new iPhone 14 will get an ellipse-shaped notch. One of the Apple fans decided to show on the layout how it might look in real life.
A photo of an iPhone 14 mockup with an ellipse notch design has surfaced on Jeff Grosman’s Twitter page. Looks pretty unusual.
Due to the fact that the notch is located slightly below the main panel, a lot of space is added on the sides, which can be filled with useful icons: a charge indicator with percentages, another field for displaying the network, and so on.
Apple has already slightly reduced the notch on the iPhone 13 by moving the speaker up. At the same time, the company did not add anything to the status bar, and as before, to see how much percent is left, you need to open the control center.
If Apple implements a design similar to what this mockup shows, we can expect more information to be added to the status bar. In the iPhone 15, Apple is rumored to want to ditch the notch altogether and introduce Face ID sensors and a front-facing camera under the display.
