iPhone 15 to feature Apple’s 5G modem

Rumors that Apple is working on its own modems for smartphones and tablets appeared on the net a few years ago. According to the authors of the DigiTimes resource, who cite sources in the supply chain, work on this module is ongoing. Apple’s first 5G modems will appear on iPhones in 2023. However, they will not be integrated into the main chip.

It is not yet known exactly what exactly Apple engineers came up with. However, sources insist that the modem will not be part of the Apple A17 chip. Usually manufacturers do it differently and vice versa include this component in the SoC.
