iPhone SE and iPhone 6s won’t support iOS 16

If you believe the authors of the iPhonesoft resource, who cite their own sources, then the owners of a number of Apple smartphones and tablets will not be able to upgrade to iOS 16. In particular, three iPhone models and four iPad models will not receive the update.

iOS 16 will not support:

  • iPhone SE first generation.
  • iPhone 6s.
  • iPhone 6s Plus.
  • iPad mini 4.
  • iPad Air 2.
  • iPad 5th generation.
  • iPad Pro 2015.

You need to understand that while this information is not officially confirmed. The announcement of iOS 16 will take place only next summer as part of the WWDC 2022 conference. However, iPhonesoft authors have already shared reliable information in the past. In particular, they accurately named the list of devices that did not receive updates to iOS 13 and iOS 14.
