LG will help Apple create a new Pro Display XDR with an integrated chip

An insider, known by the nickname DylanDKT, said in his microblog that LG is currently developing three new displays with diagonals of 24, 27 and 32 inches. The screens will be used in the updated iMac 24, iMac Pro 2022, as well as in the second generation Pro Display XDR.

While work on the displays is still underway. According to the insider, the prototypes have regular cases without any markings. However, DylanDKT is confident that the new screens will be used in Apple devices.

According to reports, the 27- and 32-inch monitors will use a mini-LED matrix with support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In addition, the “older” model must additionally receive its own chip. However, the insider does not specify what specific characteristics and capabilities it will have.
