Mac Pro with Apple Silicon chip will be released before the end of 2022

According to well-known insider DylanDKT, this year Apple will completely switch to chips of its own design, abandoning Intel processors. Mac Pro will be the last to be “translated” to Apple Silicon. The output of a new powerful Apple workstation should take place towards the end of the year.

DylanDKT did not share the exact specifications of the updated Mac Pros. However, he noted that the computer could get “an extended version of the M1 chip.” The latter should have more processing cores than the M1 Max. But how much specifically, the insider did not specify.

It has been reported in the past that Apple may create several chips specifically for the Mac Pro. The most advanced of them should have 40 computing and 128 graphics cores. In May last year, Mark Gurman, an authoritative Bloomberg journalist, shared this information.

It is expected that in addition to more powerful chips, the updated Mac Pro will also differ from its predecessors in appearance. According to sources, Apple will downsize its workstations and make them more like the Power Mac G4 Cube.
