The seventh beta of the macOS 12 Monterey update was released this week. Testers found in it references to two new MacBook Pro 2021, which have not yet been announced by Apple.
The new information includes screen resolutions for the 14-inch MacBook Pro and the new 16-inch MacBook Pro. They should appear later in October at a separate Apple event.
Resolutions are listed as 3456 x 2234 Retina and 3024 x 1964 Retina. They do not match any of the previously presented Macs. Compared to the old 16″ MacBook Pro, its resolution is 3072 x 1920. The resolution of the MacBook Pro on the M1 with a 13″ screen is 2560 x 1600.
If the data turns out to be true, we can expect an increase in density by about a factor of two.
