Apple has released the macOS Big Sur 11.6.1 update for users who don’t want to upgrade to macOS Monterey yet. It includes important security improvements.
Many users, after the release of the official version of a new update like macOS Monterey, prefer to wait until the company fixes all system flaws that may affect the operation of the device. Some do not want to update at all, or outdated Mac hardware does not allow them.
To do this, the company is releasing improvements as macOS Big Sur 11.6.1. You can now install the new system update through System Preferences.
