macOS Monterey 12.1 will fix a lot of bugs

Apple has released a new beta version of macOS Monterey 12.1 with a Release Candidate index. This means that the full release of the update will take place in the near future. Perhaps the final version of macOS Monterey 12.1 will be available to all owners of compatible computers as early as next week.

With macOS 12.1 RC, Apple has made a number of changes. Most of them are aimed at fixing various bugs and shortcomings that users have complained about in the past. Apple fixed:

  • Trackpad issues.
  • An issue that caused MacBooks to restart unexpectedly when watching HDR videos on YouTube.
  • A bug that prevented external displays from charging MacBook Pro and MacBook Air when connected via Thunderbolt or USB-C.
  • An issue that prevented your MacBook Pro from charging properly via MagSafe.

Other changes have also been made. For example, Apple has adjusted the position of the menu items so that they are not covered by a cutout in the screen of the new MacBook Pro 2021.

However, in addition to various fixes, macOS Monterey 12.1 should also bring support for the SharePlay function. It will give users the ability to watch videos or listen to music while communicating via FaceTime.
