New iPhones will warn of cracked screens

Many users, having found a crack on the display, continue to use it, ignoring the breakdown. In the future, Apple plans to remind such users more often that it’s time to replace the broken one.

Apple has received approval for a patent that involves the introduction of a system for detecting cracks in the display in new iPhones. According to the patent, a similar technology could be incorporated into a foldable iPhone Fold.

The crack detection system consists of special sections around the display in which sensors are placed. Most likely, the system will also include a special notification about the need to replace the display, which will appear on the screen.
