It seems that this year the new Apple Watch 7 smart watch will still be released without a blood pressure sensor. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said that there is no chance of introducing these sensors into Apple’s new product.
That being said, we cannot ignore the fact that Apple is now one of Rockley Photonics’ biggest customers. The British startup is developing innovative sensors for measuring blood glucose and alcohol, as well as blood pressure levels.
The scale of Apple’s partnership with Rockley Photonics indicates that the aforementioned sensors will still appear on future Apple Watches. But it’s unclear if it will be the Apple Watch Series 7.
Apple engineers are now having trouble adapting the new smartwatch form factor. Therefore, there may be delays in deliveries at the start of sales if the new product debuts with the iPhone 13.
