Rumor: Apple will release a new Pro Display XDR with an iPhone 11 processor

A new report claims that the Pro Display XDR is just Apple’s first foray into the professional display market. A new display, codenamed J327, is under development.

The report doesn’t go into great detail, but does say the display is in the early stages of development. Currently, the unannounced novelty uses the A13 Bionic chip and the neural engine in it is used to accelerate machine learning tasks.

The A13 chip was installed in the iPhone 11 model. In the new Pro Display XDR displays, it can be used as an accelerator for machine learning, or as an external graphics processor.

This isn’t the first time that Apple has been working on a new monitor. In January, along with information about the development of a new Mac Pro, there were rumors that Apple was working on a cheaper external display.
