Rumor: The new Mac mini will get an M1X processor and MagSafe

At Apple’s fall event, the new Mac mini will be unveiled with an M1X processor and an updated look.

In addition, Mark Gurman in the latest newsletter “power on“claims that due to the transition to the M1X processor, new items will become more productive. Despite this, in a few months, Apple may still once make a Mac mini on Intel.

Prior to this, the company was forced to leave the previous Mac mini to Intel, as this version of the computer was still more practical for:

  • Software development;
  • Video editing;
  • Using Mac mini as a server.

Recall that the render of the upcoming computer from the May leak showed the following set of connectors on the rear panel:

  1. 24-inch iMac-style round magnetic MagSafe power connector;
  2. HDMI;
  3. Gigabit Ethernet;
  4. Two USB Type-A ports;
  5. Four Thunderbolt 3 connectors.
