Over a year ago, Apple announced that it would add support for third-party streaming services to HomePod. Amazon Music, Pandora and iHeartRadio took advantage of this opportunity. However, Spotify has remained on the sidelines. Moreover, this situation continues to this day. For some reason, the service is in no hurry to implement full HomePod support. And if last year users were simply surprised by such “slowness”, now many are thinking about switching from Spotify to the same Apple Music. The reason for this decision is precisely the lack of full support for HomePod.
Representatives of Spotify did not comment on the current situation. Moreover, the company does not even respond to official requests from journalists. Some believe that in this way the service expresses dissatisfaction with Apple’s policies. Spotify has repeatedly accused the iPhone maker of dishonest play and anti-competitive behavior in the past.
