The first Apple Watch could come out in a ceramic case

The original apple smartwatch was available in aluminum, stainless steel, and 18K gold. However, now it became known that Apple considered other materials. Particularly ceramics.

A user known on Twitter as DongleBookPro has shared several photos of a prototype Apple Watch with a ceramic case. Judging by the pictures, the test sample was found at one of the gadget processing plants. This is hinted at by a large crack on the body of the device. At the same time, the watch remained operational. Presumably, special software for testing is installed on the prototype.

It is worth noting that for the first time Apple released a ceramic Apple Watch only in 2016. At the same time, the company removed such watches from sale from time to time. For example, the Apple Watch Series 6 is not available in a ceramic case.

Recall that not so long ago, an insider and collector of apple prototypes, known under the nickname Mr. White, shared shots of a ceramic Apple Watch in black.
