91mobiles has shared several CAD renderings of a yet unannounced Apple smartwatch. The new images confirm earlier rumors that Apple will release an Apple Watch this year with a flat-sided case.
In the renders, you can see that Apple has no plans to change the appearance of the Digital Crown or the side button. However, on one of the side faces of the Apple Watch Series 7 there is a place for slots for speakers.
The new Apple Watch is expected to be available in the same sizes as its predecessors. However, due to the reduction of the frames around the display, the screen diagonal in the new products will become somewhat larger. So, sources report that the 44-mm version of the Apple Watch Series 7 will receive a 1.8-inch screen. For comparison, in the Series 6, its diagonal was 1.73 inches.
It is assumed that the official announcement of the Apple Watch Series 7 will take place in September this year, simultaneously with the iPhone 13.
